Pot Plants Discovered After House Fire: Sheriff Patch Oswego, IL --

*Sunday, May 5*

*Hit and run*

Justin J. Teliszczak, 23, of the 1800 block of Sergeant Lane, Plainfield, was arrested at 8:03 a.m. at Plainfield Road and Collins Road and charged with a hit and run, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies were dispatched to an accident that occurred around 2 a.m. where a vehicle was found to have left the roadway and rolled into a ditch, struck a culvert and went airborne, coming to rest on the south side of the culvert. The license plates had been removed. It was learned the vehicle was driving by Teliszczak, who suffered a minor hand injury.

*Domestic battery, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor*

Jesse Gonzalez, 19, of the 0-100 block of Ridgefield Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. in the 0-100 block of Ridgefield Drive and charged with domestic battery and the unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, said the Sheriff’s office. Gonzalez reportedly pinched and struck his girlfriend in the arm and thigh several times. He also allegedly grabbed her hair, held her against a wall and punched it near her person while threatening to punch her.

*Warrant*

Vincent B. Blake, 25, of the 1500 block of Superior Street, Aurora, was arrested at 7:44 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Scarsdale Road, Oswego and charged with an in state warrant from the Aurora Police Department, said the Sheriff’s office.

*Residential burglary*

Oswego police took a report for a residential burglary that occurred between May 3 and May 5 in the 0-100 block of Saugatuck Road, Oswego. A leaf blower and weed whacker were taken from an attached garage. 

*Saturday, May 4*

*DUI, theft*

Matthew Allen Ayers, 29, of the 1200 block of Chestnut, Yorkville; and Kyle Louis Harrington, 27, of the 2300 block of Lavender Way, Yorkville, were arrested at 3:10 a.m. at River Road and Eldamain Road, said the Sheriff’s office. Ayers was charged with drivng under the influence of alcohol and theft under $500 after deputies learned that Ayers and Harrington had taken down road barricades from the River Road and Eldamain area without permission. Harrington was charged with theft of the road barricades.

*Unlawful interference of traffic control signs*

The Sheriff's office took a report of the unlawful interference of traffic control signs that occured between 4 p.m. on May 3 and 9:30 a.m. on May 4 at Sheffield Road and Long Beach. A street sign and a stop sign were removed from the ground and deposited in the rear yard of an area home. There are no suspects. 

*Friday, May 3*

*Burglary*

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary that occurred overnight between 4 p.m. on May 2 and 6 a.m. on May 3 at Twin Oaks Landscaping in the 900 block of Harvey Road. An unknown subject removed multiple power tools and equipment with an estimated loss of $3,700.

*Thursday, May 2*

*Aggravated assault, domestic battery*

Frank E. Foley, 47, of the 0-99 block of Chatham Place, Montgomery, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. at his residence and charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office. Foley reportedly threatened someone outside his home with an axe during an argument and also shoved a family member onto the ground, causing a minor injury.

*No valid driver’s license*

Alejandro Lopez-Gomez, 29, of the 2100 block of Walcott Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. at Route 47 and Caton Farm Road and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was stopped for speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone.

*Possession of cannabis sativa plants*

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the found possession of five cannabis sativa plants that were discovered at 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Circle Drive East at a home during a structure fire. Charges are forthcoming.

*Theft*

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported theft that occurred between April 28 and May 1 in the 0-99 block of Fernwood Road, Montgomery. 15 pills of a prescription medication had been stolen.

*Domestic battery*

Doris Ulloa, 22, of the 0-100 block of Fernwood, Montgomery, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Fernwood and charged with domestic battery of an ex-boyfriend, said the Sheriff’s office.

*Criminal trespass to vehicle,  criminal damage to property resisting police officer*

Laura Lyn Simmons, 33, of the 0-100 block of Timber View Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. in the 0-100 block of Timber Ridge Drive, Yorkville and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle and resisting a police officer, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies were dispatched after receiving a report of an intoxicated woman knocking on a door and arrested her on an unrelated charged. Simmons was found in a separate incident that night to have caused damage to a minivan’s windshield. Upon arrest, Simmons resisted and was given the second charge.

*Wednesday, May 1*

*Dog bite*

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported dog bite on public property that occurred at 8:39 a.m. in the 100 block of East Rickard Drive, Bristol. The victim reported being bitten twice on his legs by a tan and white pit bull. The dog was located and brought to Animal Control.

*Harassment by telephone*

Deputies are looking into an incident of telephone harassment that occurred at 10:56 a.m. The victim reported receiving a phone call from an unknown individual who said they were their neighbor at an address that did not exist.

*Domestic battery*

Nicholas Lee Stadler, 22, of the 0-99 block of Chatham Place, Montgomery, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office.

*Tuesday, April 30*

*Residential burglary*

Sheriff’s deputies discovered a residential burglary had occurred between April 27 and April 30 in the 0-99 block of Fernwood Road after finding two rifles on the side of a residence in the 0-99 block of Bereman Road after someone made a report of a found item. They discovered that the two rifles and 8 bottles of beer had been stolen from the garage of the residence on Fernwood.

*Criminal damage to property*

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported criminal damage to property that occurred between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the 1600 block of Light Road, Oswego. A glass door on a washing machine was reported shattered.

*Monday, April 29*

*Identity theft*

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for identity theft that occurred at 6:09 p.m. The victim reported a credit card company called him advising that a subject attempted to use his information to open a credit card account. Reported by Patch 2 days ago.
