Patch Montgomery, IL --Joyce Lorraine Harris, 83 years, of Montgomery, IL died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her residence. She was born December 21, 1929 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Warren W and Fern I nee Kenyon Fowler.
Joyce was a member of the Fourth Street United Methodist Church in Aurora, IL.
Prior to her retirement in 1991 she had was a teacher's aide at Longbeach, Boulder Hill and Eastview Elementary schools in the Oswego School District #308.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Susan (Earl) Johnson of Montgomery, IL, son Thomas Harris of Streator, IL, nine grandchildren Samantha, Lucas, William and Jerad (Brittany) Johnson; Mary (Brian) Mclay, Sara Jo Minnick, Jordan and Jackie Harris, Tanner Hennen; two great-grandchildren Riley Jo Johnson and Landon Johnson; two brothers Ken (Leaha) Fowler and Bob (Betty) Fowler; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Harris, son Michael Minnick and sister Liela (Harlan) Wolfe.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 Douglas Rd Oswego, IL.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM by Pastor Deborah Tinsley Taylor at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery, IL.
