The Tinder Hot Box Solar Fire Starter is also a solar powered fire starter designed to function in any environment with sunshine and tinder. It has no moving parts, flint, fuels, gases or batteries, simply a parabolic reflector that focuses all solar energy to a single point at the base of the tinder holder arm. The tinder holder arm is securely stowed in the top housing during non-use to leave room for tinder storage and it can be changed from stow configuration to fire starting configuration in seconds. The top of the device is also a flat signal mirror, providing additional versatility.
