*Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia*
Police charged two St. Charles men during a traffic stop on Prairie Street. Jason Michael Tatera, 22, of the 400 block of South 11^th Avenue, was charged at 12:21 a.m. on the 200 block of Prairie Street with driving on a suspended license, possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance. Anthony Edward Tucker, 21, of the 1400 block of Madison Avenue, was charged at 12:15 a.m. on the 200 block of Prairie Street with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.

**Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol**
Andrew Nicholas Grunewald, 22, of the 2900 block of Culver Lane, West Chicago, was charged at 2:04 a.m. at McDonald’s, 3900 E. Main St., with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police were called to the parking lot on a report of a man who had passed out in his car in the restaurant’s drive-through lane after closing time. Grunewald told the officer he had stopped at the restaurant for something to eat after drinking at a bar in Geneva.

**Escape from Electronic Monitoring**
Tye Preston Warden, 47, of the 900 block of North Highland Avenue, Aurora, was charged at 10:11 a.m. on the 500 block of Randall Road, with driving while license revoked, a Class 4 felony, and violating the electronic home monitoring program, a Class 3 felony. He also was issued a written warning for disobeying a traffic light, the original reason police stopped Warden.
**Battery/Insulting/Provoking Contact**
Jason Ahmed Carter, 35, of the 1300 block of Shoop Drive, Geneva, was charged at 3 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Ave., with battery/insulting/provoking contact. He was released on his own recognizance pending a June 27, 2013 court appearance.
THURSDAY, MAY 2, 2013
*Warrant Arrest*
Jay G. Turingan, 36, of the 1300 block of South 14^th Street, was taken into custody at 9:11 a.m. at the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office in Wheaton where he was being held on a St. Charles warrant. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.

*Retail Theft*
Rocio Magana Valerio, 28, of the 2600 Wheatfield Court, Aurora, was charged at 7:27 p.m. at Kohl’s, 3840 E. Main St., with retail theft. Valerio was issued a notice to appear in court on June 20, 2013.
