Patch Yorkville, IL --Jane N. Ming, age 57, a lifelong resident of Yorkville, IL passed away at her home on Friday, March 29, 2013. She was born on February 15, 1956 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Dale and Ethel (Christian) Perkins.
Janie was united in marriage on February 1, 1975 to Mr. Vernon Lee Ming and they spent the next 38 happy years together. She was a lifetime member of the Yorkville Congregational Church in Yorkville, IL.
Janie was a 1974 graduate of Yorkville High School in Yorkville, IL. Mrs. Ming worked part time doing bookkeeping and payroll for the family business of Perkins Builders Inc. In 1988 Janie was employed by Cipher Electric in Aurora, IL and worked there for the next 25 years. Mrs. Ming was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
She loved traveling, camping, gardening, swimming and spending time with her family. Most precious to Janie was the time she was able to spend with her six grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Janie is survived by her husband, Lee Ming of Yorkville, IL; her sons, Nolan Ming of McMinnville, TN and Nathan (Korena) Ming of Plano, IL; her grandchildren, Olivia and Anna Ming, Ella, Kamdyn, Raina and Kashton Ming; her parents, Dale and Ethel Perkins of Yorkville, IL; her brother, Jim (Judy) Perkins of Yorkville, IL; and her sister, Peggy (Dale) Humphrey of Ely, MN; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Sadie Christian; her paternal grandparents, Ira and Lillian Perkins and step-grandmother, Vida Perkins; and her sister, Patricia (Gary) Perkins Thomas.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, 409 Center Parkway, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Mark Gregory, officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.
Friends may visit from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL.
