The selection process to make the top 50 list consists of an extensive questionnaire that is completed by sales executives, training departments and human resource professionals within the respective company. This data is collected and then calculated within a rating system. Three areas were the focus for the 2014 rankings and included: New customer growth and retention; hiring, compensation, sales training, and empowerment; and the organization's brand recognition and reputation.
