Kelmscott Communications’ print production work has been recognized with prestigious industry awards earned by two of its clients: L.C. Williams & Associates, a Chicago-based public relations and research counseling firm, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) in Rosemont.
The Publicity Club of Chicago awarded L.C. Williams & Associates (LCWA) a Golden Trumpet Award in the category of Communications Materials for Brochures, Booklets or Books, and the Public Relations Society of America Chicago Chapter honored LCWA with a Skyline Award.
Kelmscott Communications printed the 20-page, 8.75-square-inch bound book entitled “Safety with a Sense of Style,” which was created for First Alert®-brand smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Containing crisp colors and vivid four-color photography, half the book promotes a series of newly designed alarms sporting a high tech look. At the midpoint, readers turn the book upside down to continue reading about the Atom™, a sleek, style-smart fire alarm in a micro design. The creative layout and flawless production quality helped secure the Golden Trumpet and Skyline awards, which honor the most creative and successful industry campaigns of 2013.
In the area of medical association marketing, Kelmscott Communications partnered with AAOMS on the printing of its winning entry and official publication entitled AAOMS Today. The International College of Dentists (ICD), the largest international honor society for dentists worldwide with 12,000 members in 122 countries, honored AAOMS with the Silver Scroll, Division 1 Award in the USA Section, Journalism Awards category for the AAOMS’ improvement in overall quality in the use of color and graphics. AAOMS Today, which runs about 40 pages per issue, reports on association news, healthcare industry trends, legislative policies and practice management; it has a circulation of 8,000. AAOMS membership consists of approximately 90 percent of the oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the United States.
“We’re proud of L.C. Williams and AAOMS for the awards and are grateful they have entrusted their creative work to us,” said Jason Tews, Vice President of Kelmscott Communications. “We want every project we do to be of award-winning quality. For advertising agencies, we’re often an extension of their creative team as we pour over layouts and collaborate on best approaches. Our understanding of association marketing runs deep with solutions like print-on-demand and digital storefronts.”
