Patch Oswego, IL --A 12-year-old girl from Oswego has been reported missing since thursday morning, according to an Aurora Police Department bulletin.
Hazel Maria Gonzales, 12, was dropped off at her grandmother's house in the 300 block of Cedar Street, Aurora, about 6:15 a.m. Thursday. She never showed up to Jefferson Middle School. She lives in the 100 block of Harbor Drive, Oswego, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Jefferson school administrators contacted Hazel's mother at 10 a.m. after she did not show. Her family last reported seeing her at 7 a.m.
According the the bulletin, Hazel's phone goes straight to voicemail.
Police believe she may be in the company of "unknown high school aged subjects" near the grandmother's house, according to the Tribune, but have been unable to contact her.
