Cloudbase Solutions and Enter Cloud Suite Announce Joint Project Aurora for OpenStack Horizon

$

Cloudbase Solutions™and Enter Cloud Suite® are happy to announce Project Aurora, a joint development for an open source alternative to the OpenStack® Horizon dashboard, providing a modern customizable web user experience for IaaS and PaaS services.

Barcalona, Spain (PRWEB) October 20, 2016

User experience, functionality and complexity are just a few of the challenges facing cloud infrastructure platforms and operators, and OpenStack is no exception. Operators are constantly searching for ways to improve, if not replace, the OpenStack Horizon interface in order to provide them with the ability to move beyond just exploring OpenStack services. The goal of Aurora is to provide a modern and simple to use interface that significantly improves workflow, manageability, ease of customization, extensibility and integration with additional enterprise services like PaaS layers, SaaS integration, billing, monitoring, and much more.

Cloudbase Solutions and Enter Cloud Suite’s joint development of Project Aurora started around the common need for an enterprise private cloud interface that can match and surpass current public cloud user experience standards.

Project Aurora is based on common state-of-the-art web development technologies (HTML5, AngularJS, Node.js). It’s currently being actively developed, looking for additional enterprise contributors and early adopter users. More details available at: https://github.com/cloudbase/aurora

“Project Aurora started with the idea of creating a fresh and competitive new user experience for the OpenStack project, allowing clear separation between the client user interface and the OpenStack services REST API interface, with a focus on customization and extensibility. This effort is meant to offer an enterprise alternative to the reference OpenStack Horizon dashboard for users and companies seeking for a more flexible user experience”· Alessandro Pilotti, CEO - Cloudbase Solutions

“As a public IAAS provider, one of the main hurdles for us was the lack of integration in the Openstack Dashboard for external software components. Since when we added our DNSaaS and CDN to our services, we had to design and develop our own dashboard in order to properly integrate them. Also, since we make a commercial use of Openstack, we had to write our own presentation and integration layer for financial indicators and reporting, which was always missing from Openstack Dashboard. There was no way for us to fit economical values inside a sysadmin-only dashboard.”· Mariano Cunietti, CTO and Cloud BU Manager - EnterCloudSuite.com

About Enter Cloud Suite
Enter is an italian ISP running EnterCloudSuite, the first multi-region Openstack public IAAS in Europe. EnterCloudSuite is based upon 100% open source software and provides standard Openstack services topped with a homebrewed DNSaaS service and a CDN service. In late 2015 EnterCloudSuite, together with the CloudTeamAlliance, was awarded by the EU as one of the five official public IAAS providers for all the 52 EU Institutions and Agencies.

About Cloudbase Solutions
Cloudbase Solutions™ is dedicated to cloud computing and interoperability. Our mission is to bridge the modern enterprise and cloud computing worlds by bringing OpenStack to Windows-based infrastructures. This effort starts with developing and maintaining all the crucial Windows and Hyper-V OpenStack components and culminates with a product range which includes Coriolis for Cloud migrations / DRaaS, orchestration for Hyper-V, SQL Server, Active Directory, Exchange and SharePoint Server via Juju charms and Heat templates.

Mediterra was named Community of the Year for an unprecedented 10th time during the sold-out Sand Dollar Awards gala presented by the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales & Marketing Council. Two single-family model homes in the Naples community also received five top awards for home, interior and pool design.

Naples, FL (PRWEB) October 20, 2016

Mediterra was named Community of the Year for an unprecedented 10th time during the sold-out Sand Dollar Awards gala presented by the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales & Marketing Council. Two single-family model homes in the Naples community also received five top awards for home, interior and pool design.

The annual awards recognize excellence in building, development, landscape, interior design, remodeling, commercial design, advertising, marketing and sales.

Mediterra once again captured the Community of the Year award for communities with homes priced over $1 million. The judging panel, comprised of industry experts, evaluated the 1,700-acre community’s amenities and its intimate neighborhoods tucked into nature preserves, parks, lakes and a formal European garden.

“Mediterra is a special community,” said Mark Wilson, president and CEO of London Bay Homes, which manages all new home sales and marketing in Mediterra. “It is Naples’ premier golf and beach club community with an incredible ambience of rolling hills, beautiful landscaping and tree-shaded outdoor spaces, balanced by hundreds of acres of untouched nature preserves. Its lifestyle is beyond compare.”

The community also offers two Tom Fazio-designed championship golf courses with membership limited to just 450 members – 225 members per 18 holes. London Bay Homes is offering an exclusive opportunity for new homebuyers to purchase a golf membership at Mediterra without any need for time spent on what otherwise is approximately a one-year waiting list.

London Bay Homes, a builder of luxury custom homes, along with Romanza Interior Design and Acquatico Pools earned five Sand Dollar Awards for two luxury single-family model homes in Mediterra. The Belita received Product Design and Interior Design of the Year honors in the $2,500,001 to $2.75 million category, while the Isabella Two-Story received product and interior design awards for homes priced from $3,000,001 to $3.25 million, as well as Best Pool Design over $50,000.

The Belita, a single-family villa in the Lucarno village, captures the sought-after Florida lifestyle with an open floor plan and alfresco living spaces featuring a zero-edge pool and an outdoor kitchen. Purchased prior to completion, the three-bedroom model offers a study, formal dining room and a second story with a loft, bedrooms and a wet bar. Romanza infused its 3,738 square feet of living area with earth and sand tones – varying from cream and soft beige to mocha – and a subdued design palette that uses texture, dark metallics, subtle patterns and random dashes of amber, ginger and muted shades of deep red, green, ocher and orange.

London Bay Homes expanded a popular floor plan to create the Isabella Two-Story, offering 4,285 square feet of living space, a study with a view, and a second floor featuring a fourth bedroom, balcony and bonus room with wet bar. Romanza’s elegant transitional interior design is punctuated by bold strokes of black and teal, textural and shimmering finishes, and distressed and rich amarone wood tones. Designer finishes include Roman vein-cut travertine flooring, faux-finished beamed and painted tongue-and-grove ceilings, custom built-in cabinetry and Venetian plaster walls.

The Isabella Two-Story also emphasizes an open floor plan and connection with its large alfresco area focused on the award-winning pool design by London Bay Homes’ Acquatico pool division. Streams of water emerge unexpectedly from the pool deck and are illuminated in seaglass shades of blue, green and lavender. Swim-up shelves on each side of the spa double as in-pool benches and provide easy access to the raised spa, which floats within the pool.

A leader in the Southwest Florida home market for 26 years, London Bay Homes has been named America’s Best Builder by Builder magazine and has earned more than 300 industry awards.

Its commitment to Private Label Living ensures quality, attention to detail, an enjoyable building process and homes that are a unique expression of their residents.

Mediterra also recently received the coveted Grand Aurora Award for Best Community Site Plan during the 35th Annual Aurora Awards competition presented by the multistate Southeast Building Conference and the Florida Home Builders Association.

As a Distinguished Emerald Club, Mediterra is internationally lauded as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine and currently ranked among the top 10 communities worldwide by BestRetirementDestinations.com.

Mediterra offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including The Club at Mediterra with the two Fazio-designed courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.

Mediterra’s onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; and a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services.

The 32,000-square-foot clubhouse features a main dining room, club lounge and kitchen, and alfresco dining options with an exposition kitchen and chef’s table. With its two-star Certified Green Restaurant, Mediterra is the nation’s first private residential community country club to earn the certification.

The club and its finishing-hole bistro, Tavern on 18, offer relaxed and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts. The outdoor Tavern features a fire pit and lounge area and serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas, seasonal salads and open-air grilled entrees.

On the links, Mediterra is undergoing more than $14 million in renovations of its North and South courses to accommodate a growing membership. Completed improvements on both courses included a new irrigation system, bunkers and cart paths, as well as new turf on the South Course. The North Course is currently being regrassed, and additional improvements to the driving range will be completed in fall 2016.

Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor driving stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals.

All of the community’s amenities are membership-owned.

Home designs in Mediterra include single-family estate homes and single-family maintenance-free villas priced from $1 million to more than $7 million. Four model homes are currently open for viewing.

Naples, Florida (PRWEB) October 20, 2016

London Bay Homes, Romanza Interior Design and Acquatico Pools recently received 10 Sand Dollar Awards during the annual gala presented by the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales & Marketing Council.

The awards honor the best in building, interior merchandising, pool design, website, and the coveted Community of the Year, awarded to Mediterra for an unprecedented 10th time.

A private residence and four single-family model homes in downtown Naples, Mediterra and Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club earned a combined eight awards.

Romanza Interior Design received top honors for its interior design of two homes near downtown Naples: The Anguilla, a private residence priced between $3,500,001 to $4 million, and the Chelston, a custom single-family model home in the $4,000,001 to $4.5 million category.

The three-bedroom Anguilla in Park Shore sold just 11 days after completion. Its award-winning interior design features a coastal contemporary aesthetic with driftwood accents, white tongue-and-groove ceilings and a palette of sea, sky and sand injected with touches of bright aqua, teal and citron throughout its 3,584 square feet of living space.

The Chelston, a three-bedroom model located at 631 Broad Court in Old Naples, offers an island-inspired design with natural walnut wood flooring, clean-lined British Colonial accents, woven furniture and vibrant colors of rainforest citrus, teal, coral, butter and eggplant against off-white backgrounds.

Offering 4,227 square feet of living space, the Chelston also was recently honored with multistate Aurora Awards, including the coveted Golden Aurora Best in Show and a Grand Aurora, from the Southeast Building Conference for best single-family detached home, best bath over $2 million, and best interior merchandising of a home over $2 million.

Both homes are part of the Naples Collection of luxury models offered by London Bay Homes, which includes homes from Park Shore to Port Royal.

Romanza Interior Design also received a Sand Dollar Award for its coastal design of the Benita, a single-family villa model in Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club. The three-bedroom Benita, featuring shell-stone flooring and a wide-ranging palette – from pale and full-toned coral, bright aqua and deep purples to tropical greens, cranberry, citron and teal – won the award in the $2,000,001 to $2.25 million category. The 3,102-square-foot villa is located in Portofino, London Bay Homes’ exclusive lakefront neighborhood.

Two single-family model homes located in Mediterra received a grand total of five Sand Dollar Awards. London Bay Homes’ Isabella Two-Story was recognized in the single-family home priced from $3,000,001 to $3.25 million category for best product, and interior design by Romanza Interior Design. The home also received the award for best pool design over $50,000 for its design by Acquatico Pools. The Belita received awards for best product and interior design in the $2,500,001 to $2.75 million category for its creations by London Bay Homes and Romanza Interior Design.

LondonBay.com, redesigned to enhance the experience for smartphone users, was named best website. The new mobile-first site features compelling imagery of homes and lifestyle videos that showcase the builder’s emphasis on self-expression and creativity through its Private Label Living branding. Links provide easy access to London Bay’s interactive brochure, magazine and blog.

StartUp Health and Vice President Joe Biden Kick Off 2016 Medical Innovation Summit at Cleveland Clinic

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) October 24, 2016

Today, StartUp Health, its global army of Health Transformers and Vice President of the United States Joe Biden kicked off the 14th annual Cleveland Clinic Medical Innovation Summit sharing an urgent message with nearly 2,000 health leaders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs: the time is now to organize, break down silos, and adopt a “Health Transformer Mindset” to speed up progress in solving big health challenges like ending cancer, ensuring access to care, and improving the wellbeing of people worldwide.

For the fourth consecutive year, StartUp Health’s Health Transformer Showcase kicked off the Medical Innovation Summit featuring 15 Health Transformers and a keynote from StartUp Health CEO and Co-founder, Steven Krein, where he shared a five-year update on their bold 25-year master plan.

“In 2011, StartUp Health launched an ambitious movement to organize and support a global army of Health Transformers with the long-term goal of improving the health and wellbeing of everyone in the world,” said Steven. “Over the past five years, we’ve organized thousands of entrepreneurs, innovators and organizations committed to transforming health. In addition to rapidly growing this global force, StartUp Health and our partners are investing in and focusing on 10 Health Moonshots, each which will impact billions of people.”

StartUp Health’s army of Health Transformers and network is organized around 10 Health Moonshot themes, all of which are connected and integral to one another. Additionally, StartUp Health will work to integrate the world’s numerous Moonshot initiatives:

1. Access to Care Moonshots: deliver quality care to everyone, regardless of location or income

2. Cost to Zero Moonshots: radically reduce the cost of care by a factor of a million

3. Cure Disease Moonshots: cure human disease using data, technologies and personalized medicine

4. Cancer Moonshots: end cancer as we know it

5. Women’s Health Moonshots: prioritize women's health, including preventive care and new research

6. Children's Health Moonshots: ensure every child has access to quality care, particularly in underserved areas

7. Nutrition Moonshots: ensure everyone has access to healthy food and water

8. Brain Health Moonshots: unlock the mysteries of the brain to improve health

9. Mental Health Moonshots: destigmatize mental health and connect mind, body and spirit

10. Longevity Moonshots: add 50 healthy years to every human life

Following a dynamic Fireside Chat between Dr. Toby Cosgrove, CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic and Steven Krein about how to speed up progress and the pace of health innovation, Vice President Biden delivered an inspiring address calling on everyone to do their part in sharing research, data, and resources.

“The Moonshot is all of us who understand the urgency and need to reimagine the cancer fight for the 21st century. It’s the spirit of discovery that defines this country. And it gives me every confidence that we are going to make enormous progress,” said Vice President Biden.

“The Moonshot is fundamentally about two things,” continued Mr. Biden. “It’s about injecting the urgency of now into this fight. Not tomorrow, not in two hours, now! And it’s about changing the culture. Coming up with a new strategy for this fight. Not the strategy left over from 1971.”

“We know now as we see everywhere that collaboration is the key to innovation,” he said to the audience of healthcare leaders.

“The magic ingredient to solving the world’s biggest Health Moonshots is to organize the wisdom and energy of the world’s Health Transformers and bring them together as a united force sharing data and resources,” said Unity Stoakes, President and Co-founder of StartUp Health. “Every solution can make an impact, and as a collective army we can make 100 years of progress in 25.”
