Shock Jock Tapes Show Donald Trump Jr. Is As Offensive As Dad

$

Saying offensive things seems to be a Trump family tradition.

CNN has uncovered recordings of Donald Trump Jr.’s interviews with radio shock jocks that show he didn’t fall far from the tree of his Republican presidential nominee father.

On the day in 2012 when a gunman killed a dozen people in an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater, Trump Jr. appeared on satellite radio’s “Opie and Anthony.” The hosts played a recording of a witness describing the carnage, to which Trump Jr. exclaimed, “Overall, I give the movie two thumbs up!”
In January 2012, Trump Jr. accused President Barack Obama of being racist by labeling others racists:

“I mean, so many people, you know, they’re just worried about, you can’t say something bad about Obama, not because you actually have a strong stance against his platform, but because that makes you a racist. Like, that in itself is racism. Like, it’s so, you know, it’s so ridiculous and that’s what we’ve become, and he’s played that card very well. And by the way, if I was in his shoes I’d be playing that card too, because you can get away with it in this country and we allow it.”
The recordings, unearthed by Andrew Kaczynski’s new K-file team at CNN, may come as no surprise to those following Trump Jr.’s statements during his daddy’s campaign.

Most recently, Trump Jr. said women who can’t handle sexual harassment shouldn’t be in the workforce.

Other doozies include:
·
He compared Syrian refugees to Skittles candies in September.·
He said in September that if Republicans had done to their own candidates what the Democratic National Committee did to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the media would be “warming up the gas chamber right now.”  ·
He said in 2012 that he has always been for gay marriage, “because it just meant more women for me!”

Watch DARPA's autopilot system fly a turboprop plane It'll likely take a long time before DARPA's autopilot system flies military planes on its own, but this latest demonstration proves that it works. That pilot in the cockpit may someday be a robot

[...] inside the cockpit, in the right seat, a robot with spindly metal tubes and rods for arms and legs and a claw hand grasping the throttle, was doing the flying. The demonstration was part of a government and industry collaboration that is attempting to replace the second human pilot in two-person flight crews with robot co-pilots that never tire, get bored, feel stressed out or become distracted. The program, known as Aircrew Labor In-Cockpit Automation System or ALIAS, is funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and run by Aurora Flight Sciences, a private contractor. With both the military and airlines struggling with shortages of trained pilots, defense officials say they see an advantage to reducing the number of pilots required to fly large planes or helicopters while at the same time making operations safer and more efficient by having a robot step in to pick up the mundane tasks of flying. [...] the robot faces a lot of hurdles before it's ready to start replacing human pilots, not the least of which is that it would require a massive rewrite of Federal Aviation Administration safety regulations. Elements of the ALIAS technology could be adopted within the next five years, officials said, much the way automakers are gradually adding automated safety features that are the building blocks of self-driving technology to cars today. Keith Hagy, the Air Line Pilots Association's director of engineering and safety, pointed to instances of multiple system failures during flights where only through the heroic efforts of pilots able to improvise were lives saved. Kerala's tiny island Kakkathuruthu included in NatGeo's best destinations list

The tiny island of Kakkathuruthu in Kerala's backwaters has made it to a select list of stunning destinations across the world compiled by the National Geographic magazine. Nestled along the Kerala Coast, the emerald-fringed "Island of Crows" has been listed in National Geographic's 'Around the World in 24 Hours', a photographic tour of travel-worthy spots across the world.

"Kerala is known for its rustic beauty and an incredibly picturesque landscape, verdant hills and quiet backwaters, which attract tourists from across the world. It is a matter of pride for us to be listed by Nat Geo, which is among the leading magazines in the world," said Kerala Tourism Minister A C Moideen.

The charm of the small island with sea green waters, lush coconut groves and absence of tarred roads, located in Alappuzha, has been captured by the magazine photographers during the time of dusk when "the shadows lengthen and the sky shifts from pale blue to sapphire.

"In a graphic description, the magazine says the sunset in Kerala is greeted by a series of rituals, Sari-clad women head home in skiffs, fishermen light lamps and cast nets into the lagoon and bats swoop across the horizon snapping up moths. If dawn is awakening and daytime illumination, then twilight is transcendence, a final burst of vitality before darkness falls," said NatGeo Expeditions.

Beginning with hunting the aurora borealis in the northern lights zone in Norway at 12 am, the list includes photos of Hawaii at 5 am, Paris at 6 am, San Francisco at 7 am, Abu Dhabi at 8 am, Melbourne at 9 am, New York at 8 pm, Budapest (Hungary) at 10 pm and Kerala at 6 pm, among others, offering a peek into how different places in the world look like.

"The recognition is rewarding and will add to our efforts to introduce and showcase different destinations in the nature-endowed state," Principal Secretary (Tourism), V Venu said.

Situated not far from the ancient port city of Kochi, the island of Kakkathuruthu is connected to mainland only by traditional boats. The quiet island, surrounded by the Vembanad Lake, offers a haven for birdwatchers.

Kerala Tourism Director U V Jose said, "It is absolutely exhilarating to see the island included in the travel recommendations. It is not only a reaffirmation of Kerala's natural endowments but also a huge recommendation to international tourists for a tryst with the coastal state."

Everybody’s Got Feelings About Donald Trump Calling Immigrants ‘Bad Hombres’

Everybody’s Got Feelings About Donald Trump Calling Immigrants ‘Bad Hombres’ During Wednesday night’s third presidential debate, Donald Trump referred to immigrants as “bad hombres,” and in standard social media fashion the term quickly became a trending topic.

“We’re going to secure the border and once the border is secured, at a later date, we’ll make a determination as to the rest,” said Trump as he was advocating for stronger borders and building a wall. “But we have some bad hombres here and we’re going to get them out.”

The Republican presidential candidate was speaking on the topic of immigration when he referenced his experience with voters in New Hampshire and said that the state’s biggest problem “is heroin that pours across our southern borders, just pouring in, destroying their youth.”
