Tribe Pictures Connects Leaders with Students for Lafayette College in Matchup with Lehigh University

Production agency’s educational expertise tapped for trio of broadcast ads shown during the school’s epic 150th anniversary football game with archrival.

Chatham, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 24, 2014

Fans tuning in to the Nov. 22nd CBS telecast of the 150th anniversary football game between rivals Lafayette College and Lehigh University got a glimpse of how Lafayette’s community is living connected and leading change via three thirty-second ads written and produced by Tribe Pictures. They also appeared on the giant video screen at the game’s iconic venue, Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Tribe’s commercials aired during coverage of what’s been dubbed Rivalry 150. Since 1884, Lafayette and Lehigh have faced off on the gridiron more than any other colleges in US history. The spots will eventually be featured on the college’s campaign web site, liveconnected.lafayette.edu.

The spots, titled “Diversity, “Engineering” and “Classroom,” are a key element in an integrated effort the Chatham, NJ-based company has produced as part of the school’s “Live Connected / Lead Change” fundraising campaign. They highlight major achievements of Lafayette alumni from the past and the present, depicted in both still and motion footage projected onto buildings on the Lafayette campus that are viewed by present-day students.

In addition to the broadcast ads, Tribe produced a six-minute film that paints a picture of an innovative liberal arts college producing passionate, committed leaders. The film builds its narrative around in-depth interviews with students, alumni, faculty and administrators, who help convey Lafayette’s story in compellingly human terms. Tribe also produced three video modules that focus on the pillars of the campaign.

Tribe worked closely with Lafayette’s marketing team, as well as with its communications consultants, Steege Thomson Communications, on both the broadcast spots and the campaign films. The projects were an outgrowth of Tribe’s earlier work for Lafayette. Tribe, which has extensive experience working with higher education institutions, produced a six-minute film highlighting the college’s endowed professor program back in 2011.

“Lafayette was a great partner to work with,” says Tribe Pictures Founder and CEO Vern Oakley, who served as Creative Director on the ads and the campaign films. “They shared the same goal of moving people with video, and allowed the time for us to get inside the heart and soul of the institution.”

One of the key challenges Tribe faced was the need to develop a 360-degree platform for the school’s communications, one that could prove persuasive in a variety of media channels and settings. To achieve this Tribe created a visual template for the work that reflected the school’s brand while simultaneously integrating social media and digital motifs, conveying complex information and elicit-ing an emotional response in viewers.

The Tribe team contributing to the work was led by Account Director Jon Huberth and Executive Producer Barbara Hennessy. The main campaign film was directed by Felicia Jamieson, produced by Alexandra Beni and written by Steve Eder, a five-time Emmy winner for his work in broadcast television. The commercials were directed by Glenn Holsten and written by Robert Shaffron. Michael Chomet was Editor and Visual Effects Director. All post production and graphics were done in-house at Tribe’s production facility in New Jersey.

Oil-gas jobs produce labor shortage in Weld County

$

Whatever it is, there are a lot of "Help Wanted" signs in and around Greeley and hiring managers are worried. Workers of all levels and pay grades are at a premium in Greeley, from unskilled labor positions to the high paying energy industry jobs, even higher-level corporate positions. Companies have raised pay, improved benefits and working conditions — they're even offering sign-on bonuses to attract and retain staff. Companies are not only faced with a shrinking pool of applicants and higher wage expectations, but applicants with varied skill levels, commitment, and frankly, a less motivated work ethic. The worker shortage began with an increased numbers of oil and gas jobs. The problem has been exacerbated as more companies have to come to the area, enticing workers with pay that is typically three to four times what they could get in other careers. Through September, the latest numbers available, the county had gained 3,900 jobs this year — 1,900 directly in the oil and gas and construction industries, 1,000 in government jobs, the rest in varying industries. Since 2010, when the shale-oil boom hit, Weld employment has grown 21.5 percent. By comparison, the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area — where recent reports said most of the oil and gas-related jobs are concentrated — has only grown 12.3 percent since 2010 and 38.5 percent in the last 20 years, according to Department of Labor and Employment records. Companies are starting to pay more to entice employees in and to stay, but there continues to be a skills shortage, whether it's what employers call "soft skills," such as showing up to work on time, or answering phones professionally, or a training issue. Amigos De Los Niños Announces Phase I of Building Project on Schedule

Los Cabos Non-Profit, Amigos De Los Niños, shares plans for new Building Project slated for construction in early 2015.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (PRWEB) November 26, 2014

Amigos De Los Niños, often referred to, as ADLN is a non-profit organization located in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. ADLN has been operating since its founding in 1991. The goal of ADLN is and has always been to provide assistance to children up to 18 years of age who are in need of medical care. In Baja California Sur, and Mexico in general, many families do not have health care and some ailments and diseases are far too serious to be left untreated or treated by less skilled health care providers. Through a series of corporate donations, annual grants, and fundraisers created by the ADLN Board of Directors, funds are raised to help these children attain the medical coverage they need either within Mexico, or outside of Mexico. ADLN has successfully helped thousands of children over the years through the many ADLN Free Clinics hosted and medical assistance provided by the hardworking team for our Special Case care.

Amigos De Los Niños is very pleased to announce that Phase I of this project, the construction of the new clinic space, will begin in early 2015. For several years, a single-family house in the Aurora neighborhood in Los Cabos has served as the ADLN office. The house has been converted into a fully functional office where families can inquire about assistance, the Board can hold meetings, and regular daily operations can be conducted.

The office is the chosen spot for a second story to be added, which will serve as the ADLN Free Clinic space. The main goal is to be able to offer more Free Clinics and reach even more children in need at a more efficient level than ever possible in the past. The initial phase for the second floor will cost $120,000 USD and is a 6-month construction project. “It is really exciting that we are so close to achieving this milestone,” states Gay Thatcher ADLN Executive director, “We have long dreamed about being able to build this and always have thought of how great it would be, but now we are actually moving forward with the project.”

Amigos De Los Niños has worked hard as a group to raise awareness for the charity and fundraiser to make this project possible. The ADLN Free Clinics in the past have been restricted to certain areas where doctors who visited from the US could consult while volunteering their time. The new story on the office building provides room for the ENT-Audio Clinic and Pediatric Dentistry Clinic. Additionally consultations can be held right in the facilities. The new space will allow for a whole new level of care for children in need in Los Cabos.

Amigos De Los Niños knows that this would not be possible without its supporters and sponsors all over Cabo the US and Canada. ADLN looks forward to further updating the public on this project as it progresses, and ushering in a new era in the Amigos De Los Niños story!
